Palazzo Biscari

Palazzo Biscari is one of Catania’s main baroque jewels. The Biscari’s, a family of enlightened aristocrats, played a major role in the rebuilding of Catania after the earthquake which destroyed the city (and the whole south-east of Sicily) in 1693.
