On the go

Almost back

The port of Amsterdam

The port of Catania

Why are ports so fascinating? The port of Amsterdam is not an independent port anymore: it’s inked to the other ports in the North Sea Canal area with which it forms a big port area and which is the only access to the sea. The port has had many changes through the centuries, many routes being closed and damped through the centuries, while other got opened. In this way it’s still intimately connected with the old part of the city.

The port of Catania is quite difficult to access for travelers coming by plane or by road. It’s worth a visit and a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee or a beer dreaming while looking a small fisher boats, cruise boats and modest yachts meeting there, as well as big cargo carriers and big ferries deserving the main ports of Italy.
